03 Sep Let’s Party And Support Pediatric Cancer Research: Join Me At Karaoke For The Kure

I met Kyle Matthews in a Motorola chat room 11 years ago talking about mobile phones – this was when the Motorola RAZR came out – and we have been friends ever since.  His heart is unbelievably big and he has always been a friend and advisor.  Kyle and his wife, Robyn, lost their son, Ezra, at 800 days old to neuroblastoma, a type of cancer that starts in certain very early forms of nerve cells.  Determined to make sure that something positive was created as Ezra’s legacy, they created Because Of Ezra.  I am a passionate board member for this worthy charity organization because of my relationship with Kyle and his family, but I also believe that children are the future and they deserve a fighting chance too.  I was shocked to learn that with all of the funds being raised for cancer, less than 5% goes toward pediatric.  When I owned Negri Electronics, I did my part to raise awareness by including a bracelet that said  “Because of Ezra” and “Kick Cancer’s Ass” in every single package we shipped.  These tiny cancer fighters and their families need our support to win the battle of their lives.

On Saturday, September 27th from 7-11PM, Because of Ezra is having their first annual Las Vegas Karaoke for the Kure event at the Downtown Project Container Park and I would love it if you and your friends could join me to party for kids with cancer.  Enjoy all you can eat and drink while you watch rockstar Frankie Moreno, and other great performers take the stage for a great cause.  If you’re really feeling brave, take the stage yourself and let’s karaoke for a kure!
